Cattleman’s Roadhouse to open new steakhouse in Boone County

Boone County is set to get a new steakhouse later this year.

Cattleman’s Roadhouse, a Shelbyville, Kentucky-based steakhouse franchise, is opening a new location off the Richwood Road exit of I-71/I-75 in Boone County, according to a Facebook post from the Schueler Group — a Lebanon, Ohio-based real estate brokerage associated with the land sale of the restaurant’s future site.

Specifically, the new restaurant will be located at 12910 Frogtown Connector Road — just north of the Holliday Inn Express, a representative from the Schueler Group confirmed to LINK nky.

“Cattleman’s Roadhouse has broken ground and is moving dirt on its newest restaurant in Northern Kentucky! The restaurant will join several new hotels, Longnecks Sports Grill and Caliber Collision at the Richwood Road exit on I-71/I-75,” read the post.

The 4.29-acre plot of land that will be the future site of Cattleman’s Roadhouse was sold for $1.04 million last May, according to Boone County property records. The buyer of the property was Shelbyville-based 535 Main LLC.

Restauranters Bill Hisle and Stuart Meredith opened the first Cattleman’s Roadhouse in Shelbyville in 2006 after the closure of Bistro 535, the duo’s first business venture. Cattleman’s Roadhouse has since expanded to 10 locations — nine in Kentucky and one in Indiana.

As of now, there is no reported opening timeline. However, the aforementioned Facebook post noted that the project’s groundbreaking had already taken place.

The Cattleman’s Roadhouse menu features nine different steaks sourced from the Aberdeen, South Dakota-based Demkota Ranch Beef.
