A driver hit and killed a pedestrian near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport on the morning of March 6, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
A little after 6 a.m., James Moulden, 65, of Cincinnati, was attempting to cross Petersburg Road toward Aviation Boulevard when he was hit by a car traveling eastbound on Petersburg. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies said that Moulden was not in the crosswalk, and the driver had a green light through the intersection at the time of the collision.
The driver remained at the scene, called 911, and is contributing to the investigation, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies said that rain, a lack of lighting at the intersection and limited visibility due to darkness are all factors that deputies said contributed to the accident.
